This new home will incorporate sustainable construction materials and methods as 2×6 wood frame, with blown cellulose insulation – to help provide a very tight building envelope, high efficiency windows, and a design that is complimented by spaces that were planned in accordance with solar orientation with consideration to what time of day the rooms will be used. The exterior finish will be natural stone, and shake shingle siding.The mechanics of the home will include a dual zoned, Geothermal HVAC system (which will also be used to heat the pool ! )  a Hi-efficiency solar water heater, and the home will be pre-wired for future solare panels.
